I've seen one location in NW Miami-Dade at 189, but in the nicer SW (well, really SE but there is no SE Dade) section where I'm located, its closer to 1.99

What is sad is we are rejoicing that the prices are coming down. IMO, they are still too high!! We should rejoice when they get back to where they are supposed to be before OPEC became greedy. Heard that they still want to raise the price of barrels of oil.

Last night as we drove by the gas station, the price was 1.91 a gallon and as I took the cell phone to daughter (she left it behind when she went to work) I noticed it had dropped to 1.89 a gallon today.

we need to drill in alaska, make a deal with russia to get even more oil from them, and bomb the you know what out of all opec nations whose principle is merely to screw us over. This will get the price of gas down to the 1.35 (on the high end) that it should be at throughout the nation

I can't figure out the prices near me. I saw an Exxon yesterday selling for $1.89, and today I saw an Amoco just a few miles away for $2.14. BP/Amoco is usually cheaper than the rest, too, although this one is always 10 cents higher for some reason. Shell is always higher than everyone. Right now, Palm Beach is averaging in the high $1.90's.

I was just going through some old credit card receipts last week and came across one from February 1999 when I paid $1.06. Boy, those were the days. Of course that's back when oil bottomed out around $9 a barrel.

The weak dollar probably has a lot to do with the price of oil now, too.
