$21K is a lot of money, but it wouldn't be mine to dispose of...someone would be frantically searching for it. SO...I'd take to the police for safekeeping/return to its owner.

depends. people dont normally walk around with 21k. if it were in a wallet or purse with id i would probably turn it in. if it were in a brown paper bag, or with no id i would probably not turn it in. in that case, the person i turned it in to would probably steal it anyway. basically, i would only give it back if i were able to determine myself who it belonged to.

Haven't you ever heard of doing the right thing? If you give back, you'll receive far more than if you had kept it (money, time, talents, etc.)?
I certainly hope my girls would give the money back. I'm 99.9% sure they would...

21K is a lot of cash. If I found $20, i'd keep it, $100 too. but losing $21000 can ruin someone's life and I'd turn it in to the police.
