FUGITIVE DOCTOR ARRESTED AFTER APPLYING FOR JOB AT ANGOLA
ANGOLA, La. (AP) _ A doctor wanted for allegedly drugging and molesting two female patients in Florida was arrested at the Louisiana State Penitentiary after he arrived to interview for a physician's job.
Daniel Phillip McIntire Junior had been living in Ruston before his arrest yesterday.
West Feliciana Parish sheriff's Captain Spence Dilworth says investigators learned that McIntire was wanted while conducting a pre-employment background check and contacted Florida authorities.
McIntire was jailed as a fugitive to face one kidnapping and eleven sexual battery counts in Florida. Dilworth says the doctor had been sought by police in Clewiston, Florida, and the FBI.
He is being held in the parish jail awaiting extradition to Florida
