I went out Tuesday morning around 1:30am - only saw 4 or 5 - cloud cover kept rolling in. I didn't try it last night.

At around 10pm on the 13th PDT was the best time to see them. I had a group of people, and we went to the deserts to party, and watch the meteor shower! A Meteor Shower Party!!!! Anyway, they were great! I have this technique to get a meteor count. 3 people stand, one looking south, one looking Northwest, and the other looking Northeast. We all are back to back. everytime we see a meteor we count it according to the number it was seen. We counted 10 meteors in one minute at the peak. That makes for 600 an hr, and it really looked like that!!! 50% were bright blue fireballs. best shower since the leonids back in 2001

Yup, yup...actually, it kinda started Monday night here, with the CRYSTAL clear, COLD mountain air at 7000' (no city lights here, in fact, our back yard is SOOOOO dark, it's almost scary)....we had a WONDERFUL view (and a thermos full of hot cocoa and Peppermint Schnapps  )

Early reports show the peak ZHR was over 160/hr which was above the expected 120/hr.

It was awesome in West Central FL, when you could catch a glimpse between the clouds.

I've seen showers with more meteors, but there were some of the largest meteors I have ever seen. Very, very neat and worth the brrrrr cold viewing.

I wouldve liked to go see them but it was too cloudy here.
