Our office secretary just came up to me with presents for me and my husband. i was shocked. i didnt know what to say. she gave me sterling silver drop earrings.

i made turquoise earrings for her last month, because she had a cool necklace that I thought I could match them to. When we go on business trips to cool places, we bring her stuff back. Chocolates from Belgium, smoked salmon from Alaska and we brought honey from Tennessee this year. So she says we give her gifts all year long and she wanted to do this for us.

Why do I feel awkward? Should I do something more to reciprocate? We're all on leave starting tomorrow until after the New Year. She's going out of town.

She basically told you she wanted to do it because of everything you do for her all year. IMO that was very sweet of her to buy those for you to show her Christmas spirit to you and to let you know how much she appreciates what you do for her. No need to buy her anything. Seems to me you are good to her all year and she knows it. :D
