In honor of Mother's Day, here's a reflective look back at beloved TV Mom's thru the years:

Showing my age here, but TV Mom's have certainly changed thru the years! Watch a rerun on TV Land and you'll see what I mean, if you're in your 20s. My mom never dressed like June Cleaver while working around the house!!! Quite the opposite in fact.

Who was/is your favorite TV Mom, of all time?

Mine would be Olivia Walton, of the The Walton's. My all time favorite show too......may sound corny today, but Olivia exemplified what a mom should be to me: loving, supportive, willing to let you test your wings. Even though the Waltons were dirt poor, they were rich, IMHO. If I had to choose a TV Mom of recent decades, I'd choose Claire Huxtable, from the Cosby Show.

Oops, meant to add if I ever want a good laugh, I catch a rerun of Rosanne. Even though she wasn't my idea of the ideal mom, there's something about Rosanne that's unique! Just the other day I watched 2 back to back Rosanne reruns, and literally LOL. My kids wondered what all the commotion was about.....tried explaining that before Rosanne, TV Mom's were kind of boring. Rosanne broke the mold, so to speak. Have to mention her here, she certainly belongs on the TV Mom list, somewhere..... .

Donna Reed of the "Donna Reed show" has to be my all-time favorite while Carol Brady (Florence Henderson) of "The Brady Bunch" was a very close second.

Both reminded me quite a bit of my own mom

I'm going with 7th Heaven also... Annie Camden. She's almost an identical match of my mom...its scary! How, What, Where, Why, Who, and When...and Do we know the party and their parents? must be attained before we leave the house.
