So very sorry, Helen.

((((HUG))))
Prayerfully and hopefully a kind person or neighbor has come to her/his aid for a night in particular like tonight and tomorrow! Hope everything works out, Wxbuddy, and you are re-united ASAP!!

yes. his brother wont hardly leave the porch if i let him outside, but blackie takes off occasionally for no reason. he did this 2 years ago when 5 inches of snow was on the ground and the temp got down to 12 degrees. 3 days later i found him struggling through the snow almost frozen. i am sick

OK, kitty not functioning on hormones, then.
Then I am going to keep the Spirit that he is
simply "mouse-hunting"! Hoping that he makes his
way home, Helen!

I'm so sorry Helen! I have a cat that likes to hunt as well. Mac jumps over our 6' fence and we won't see him for hours. He does come home for dinner though.
We've been keeping him inside or if we let him out, it's under careful watch and only for a few minutes. You may just want to keep him and his brother inside permanently from now on.
I'm sure he's out getting a Christmas present for Mommy. He'll be back!
Keep us updated!

rainstorm, I hope he comes home soon. I know how it can be to worry about a kitty all night long. They are, however, very good at taking care of themselves. I am sure he will find somewhere to curl up and stay warm.

Try not to panic Helen. My siamese (a house cat...declawed) managed to sneak out last winter while we were away and my daughter was "caring" for the house and animals. Five days later we found him..or should I say our Scottie found him, across the street in a drain pipe. He was hungry for sure, but cats are very resourceful...they are survivors.
Don't give up..keep looking.
As a side note...we have since gone through the same thing..thinking the cat got out and started combing the neighborhood with flashlights only to return home and find him sitting on the couch looking at us like we were stupid or something.

Sometimes we make it so easy for them to do that! LOL!
Any news Helen?

Hope you find your cat, we never let ours outside, they have been "house" cats since we got them as kittens. Good luck

when I was younger we had a cat that got out during a blizzard and he came back the next day. He should be fine
