Serves Anna Nicole Smith Right

Court Strips Anna Nicole Smith of Millions

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. federal appeals court on Thursday reversed a judgment awarding 1993 Playboy Playmate of the Year Anna Nicole Smith (news - web sites) $88 million from the estate of her elderly billionaire husband J. Howard Marshall.

In 2002, a federal judge ruled that the dying 90-year-old truly loved his then 26-year-old wife when he awarded her $88 million in a bitter court fight with the oil tycoon's son. The judge ruled that the son had tried to rob Smith of her rightful inheritance by mounting a campaign of deceit and dishonesty.

But on Thursday a three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, based in San Francisco, reversed that decision, saying she was not mentioned in his trust and will, although she was given about $6 million in gifts in 1994.

"Although J. Howard Marshall II was married to Vickie Lynn Marshall, no provision for distributions of income or principal of the trust estate was made in favor of the settlor's spouse," Judge Robert Beezer wrote.

He referred to Smith's birth name Vickie Lynn.

In 2001, a U.S. district judge threw out a $475 million judgment for Smith awarded the year before.

"The route followed by the parties to this appeal on their epic journey is a tortured one indeed," Beezer wrote in summing up the complex past legal proceedings.

In an earlier trial, one lawyer accused Smith of using the lure of her breasts to coax her aging oil tycoon husband to say whatever she wanted.

The billionaire met and married Smith, a topless dancer who was to eventually host her own reality television show, at a topless club just 14 months before his death in 1995.

She's one person who has definitely worn out her 15 minutes of fame...and then some. And proof that not all Texan-borne blondes are attractive to me. She used to look like a mix between Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, but I think someone's got her controlled and hooked on something that she shouldn't be taking.

I hope she gets help.

She may be Texas-born, but surely you don't believe she's a REAL blonde?!?!
:roflmao:

Speaking as an honest-to-God, real, unaltered blonde, I could almost be insulted! It's all those fake blondes give us real ones a bad name.

Is it just a character she plays, or is she truly dumb as a rock?

Yeah, I know she's not really blonde, but even when it's dyed, I like blonde hair....long, thick, flowing, blonde hair. :)

So, ya say you're a blonde, eh? (j/k!)...and a Texan.

Dave always points that out to me. Every time he sees a girl who is, (some liberal tell me what the pc term for 'fat chick' please?) carrying a few extra pounds, he say, "Yup, she's married all righty." Funny, didn't happen to me.... I think..... <pinches fat rolls around waist>

Well I hope that the rich geezer at least died happy. Those millions won't help him now. But it's good that his son gets the $$ now. She can go find another geezer to titillate. (sorry)

Ok, I'm liberal, so I'll take a shot. Saying "big" or "large" really doesn't solve anything, since we all know you're just trying not to say "fat." I guess "plus size" is overused, and it sounds so Sears-catalog anyway. Hmmmm... mass-height-disproportionate? How about density-challenged? Nah, that would imply that she generates her own gravity. I dunno.

Yep, Jen is a real true unadulterated blonde and no she is not a whatever the pc term for weight challenged(like me) "chick". She is what I classify as a vivacious woman in many aspects(and for the rumor mongers, my wife was right there with me and agrees.)
