MAD, you BET I'm mad, I just made a post at TWC in the severe weather forum and I may have got myself banned *as the crowd says "Ahhhhh, too bad!"* The thread is *Attention Moderators* or something like that.

There is a woman over there called *royslady51* who is SLAMMING, FLAMING people beyond belief, I told her that she was damn lucky that I'm no longer an admin over there or her sorry butt would be banned BIG TIME This person has a HUGE problem, so be on the lookout for this person to come over here!

Oh I know Dennis. I saw your post and all I can say is good for you!! Seems John was a bit hasty in his decision to oust you and Tracy. Because he sure does not police those boards.

I just emailed Nalora and invited her to join Storm2K. Sure hope she does. Nalora seemed scared off and reluctant to post at TWC. Guess I haven't checked other boards at TWC to see what's really happening there.....will try if I have time. 99.9% of the time now, I just check Storm2K. Never, ever thought I'd say that!

Does seem very hasty to have let you and Tracy go Dennis. You're both sorely missed there it seems. And here TWC wants it's boards to be such a specific way.....they're hardly that right now, apparently. Could this be the end?

Quick edit - my email to Nalora just came back. If anyone has a correct email addy for her, please invite her to join Storm2K! Thanks....... FYI, Nalora isn't the troublemaker Dennis referring to. I remember Nalora from the Green Thumb board, very nice. But I guess a heads up is needed - this nasty other woman/TWC member might be headed here. Ugh, I'm sure the admin would take care of her if she gets out of line.

Reminds me of a woman (very UN-ladylike) one time at the Tropical Forum at TWC and she was using expletives left and right in her posts...I jumped in and told her firmly but kindly to tame her language and boy she LET ME have IT!! :o

Just don't understand people who get their "jollies" by having to cuss at wx boards!

Eric, I think that was her. You're talking about that lady that said "Christ on a crutch!" and a bunch of other things right (during Hurricane Lili I think)? I remember seeing in her profile back then that she was disabled. I'm pretty sure she's the same person. Alas, some people never change!

Come on Eric, John IS a wonderful guy! Take a look at ALL he is responsible for, he has control over the WHOLE weather.com site, not just the boards. His duties include keeping the radar site up and running, he does the local weather page! I mean, the guy is up to his asp in alligators when his whole intention was draining the swamp!

Wow, thanks for the gossip. I think I'll check it out for fun. Maybe I should do something outrageous over there and go out in a blaze of glory.

No offense Dennis... but John does not seem to be able to handle his job very well. That is exactly why Jennifer (Sunny) is no longer there. She did not have the ability to control the boards or the chat room. The chat was closed for that reason and the boards will probably close for the same reasons.


As for that LADY igmo... I doubt very seriously she would be allowed to continue to post such garbage on storm2k.. much less be able to re-register under another name either. This igmo is disabled alright... MENTALLY!!

Well, here's my take on John.....yes on some level, employee to employee or employee to volunteer mod, he is/was nice. But from Admin to MB members, people just like me, he comes across as not having good PR skills. He was almost begging someone who was still forced to hang around there after I posted my goodbye topic. I think it might have been Vinnie - John said something like are you just kidding with me or are you trying to get banned? Like c'on, test me, I'll ban you! I'm sorry Dennis, you and T must see a completely different side to John. Not one Admin. member here has ever taunted us to dare them to ban him/her!!! In fact, they encourage you to shape up, give you warnings, etc. before it ever comes to that point.

Oh how I love it here at Storm2K!!! I do not miss TWC MB's. I do miss chat there but honestly the comraderie I felt then, is here now present at Storm2K.

And Eric, I 100% completely agree with you - once again! We're always on the same page with things like this......are you my long lost brother or something? LOL

Quick edit here - I failed to mention Dennis that I do believe that you and T have a good rapport with John. And I admit that there must be a good side to him. Maybe he's just under a tremendous amount of pressure there - too much to do and not enough time to do it. Or too many responsibilities? I mean I don't want to knock the guy....not my style, but I did want to back up Eric. Because I read some very curt replies to members before I left and I didn't care for John's approach then. One of the reasons I left in the first place. I felt like I was back in HS, afraid to even post, for fear I'd say the wrong thing. That is just no way to make members feel! But I'm gettin off track, to sum it up - yes there must be good in him, I just didn't see much evidence of it.

I remember her from last hurricane season. She once posted something about winter weather on the tropics forum and then got mad when no one responded.

Great job Dennis! You were actually during JohnAdmin a favor and I think that he will look at it that way.

In all fairness, I know that JohnAdmin is not the one making up the rules for running the boards - it's the TWC management. He's only doing his job. However, to TWC Management to copy a phrase from that "lady" - "be careful what you wish for, you may get it!". I hope that they are happy with the results so far!

To sum it up...TWC could take some lessons from Storm2K in how to be much more user-friendly with their members.

Well, I don't know gang, I had a very close relationship with John, strictly over the boards mind you! I agree *somewhat* with your comments but on the other hand, I have to disagree on some, but hey, if we agreed ALL the time on every issue, what a boring world this would be!
