And no, none my sisters are expecting a new baby (I wish...us uncles never have enough little ones to spoil
I'm just curious (and bored) and was wondering what are your favorite boy and girl baby names?
Here are mine:
Girl: my #1 choice is Samantha...what I suggested to sis before Madison was born. I also really like Tabitha, Jennifer, Caitlyn, and Amanda (Mandy).
--------------------------
Boys: my #1 choice is Matthew...what I wish I'd been named (Matt). I also like Andrew, Robert, David, and Bill.

Well yeah, SS, but I was afraid that I might offend someone who has an Aunt Fern or an uncle Hank.

My fave girl name is still Nina, which we named our oldest daughter.
I just could never get as enthused about a boy name. I liked Kevin, hubby liked Mark. But we had another girl and settled with Laura. Another girl name I love.
Whatever she does Perry, tell her to search for the most popular names right now and choose a name a little less popular. One year Nina had 4 Michael's, 3 Jessica's, 3 Jennifer's and 2 Emily's in her Fifth Grade Class. Her teacher couldn't figure out why the Principal didn't spread these kids out over the other 3 Fifth Grade Classrooms. Nina said it was a pretty confusing year. But she was the only Nina!
I chose Nina b/c I loved it but also b/c I was one of 50 Mary's in my HS. Mary Ann, Mary Sue, Mary Pat, someone would call out hey Mary - and we'd all turn our heads. And then my husband's name was common then, Jim. So we definitely wanted less common names for our kids.
____________
Whoa, quick edit - just reread your note Perry. None expecting right now!!! Misunderstood that little important mention...... Bored? Oh man this is funny. Well, tuck these suggestions away for future reference, huh? LOL

Miss Mary, I'm still hoping...Becky's only 37 and keeps saying she'd love another little girl (which absolutely thrills Maddie...who needs a baby sister to "even up the odds" against her two little brothers
Unfortunately, Maria can't have kids, due to a near fatal accident at age 20, and Bethy-boo is only 18...and wants her college degree before even thinking about kids (unless destiny and her Prince Charming interveins).
