I like the mornings because you wake up to a new day that you hope will be a great day.

Evenings. I am NOT a morning person at all.
Usually though anytime from lunch to about 11pm is great. I usually am up til shortly after Midnight unless I'm really tired or have to get up early the next day.

Except during the peak heat of mid-summer, I enjoy late afternoon and evening better than any other time of day....
The major reason why? I'm a severe storm enthusiast/ junkie....and the most intense tornado outbreaks usually occur that time of day (from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. is "prime storm spotting & chasing time"

Call me absolute nuts, but either morning is my favorite time of day.
I say so because I'm a runner, morning is usually the best time of day to go for a run, in my opinion (except in winter).

I don't mind mornings, but I prefer evenings and late night because of one thing: either I am about to go to sleep or I am already snoozing!

I absolutely HATE mornings, always have and always will. Doesn't matter if I go to sleep at 9:00 pm or 1:00am, I just am not a happy camper in the mornings.
I kick in around noon and can stay up till 4:00 am or so with no problem.
In my younger years (haha) I worked 3-11 and 11-7 swing shift in the Emergency Room. It was nice to finally meet people that were like me.
I love my house when my family has gone to sleep and I am still up and can sit and read a book uninterupted or watch TV or something I have taped. I like the silence and the stillness of the night. Oooooo that sounds wierd, never thought about it like that.

"Creature of the night?" I guess that's US, Mary!

I agree StreetSoldier. Unfortunatly my husband is totally opposite. He gets up earlier on the weekends than he does during the week to go to work. I really think that is his "quiet time" as the kids and I are still snoozing........
If he had to go back on shift work the night shift would kill him. Don't think he could do 6 pm to 6 am anymore. Besides that he can't see to drive at night any more and I can't see him driving a patrol car around the county without being about to see. But since he is the number 3 man in the department he could have someone else drive him around.....HA, not likely.

Yes, but "magic hour" for catching perps is between 11 pm-3 am, give-or-take an hour on both ends...I miss it (MPD, STL)

I'm a morning person. Seven days a week up at 5 am!
Not much good for a conversation after 9 at night though.
