As you all know.. I am scheduled to finally see the Dr. on Monday and if all things are cool.. I should be cleared to go back to work..

As you also know.. my appt. is so late in the day.. {5:30pm eastern} that I'd have to wait till Tuesday to bring the note to my job.. {All my 2nd shift people will be working but I think my supervisor would have already gone home}

Here's the question.. Let's say I'm scheduled to work Tuesday.. {I believe I am}.. Can I actually go to work {Tuesday Morning}.. with the note in hand.. Or do I have to go bring them the note.. and I probably wouldn't be allowed to work till the next day I'm scheduled.. {which I believe would be Thursday}

Just curious.. Feel free to send some replies this way

If the note says you are cleared then you can go that day.

Every place I've ever worked the policy has been you're good to go as long as you have the paper in hand.

I say take the note with you when you show up Tuesday. They'll probably be glad to see you and put you right to work.

I'd be surprised if there's any policy against that. They just want a piece of paper to put in your file.

Cool beans.. So I'll be looking to go back on Tuesday.. woo hoo.. Maybe I'd better see what time I'm scheduled lol.. Then again.. If I'm late.. I'm sure they really may not mind.. only because they'd be so glad to have me back..

Like I said.. I also told ya guys a couple days ago.. that some of my managers are already trying to convince me to start riding my bike to work again.. lol..

I do have a brand new much safer bike.. But I'm too scared to ride it right now

They all tell me that I will have to face the fears sooner or later.. {that I already know lol}..

John, I would call them on Monday and ask them if they would schedule you to work for Tuesday. Make sure you tell them that you will bring your Dr's release when you show up for work. I'm thinking if you just show up there on Tuesday with your release from the Dr., they will not have you on the schedule and therefore will schedule you for Thursday. A phone call never hurts.

Thank you Burgh.. . I actually have not been taken off the schedule since my accident.. Everytime I go in to see people.. they're like.. "you were scheduled to work this hours today" lol

I'd still givem a call and say "Be prepared, I'm comin HOME!!"

LOL Burgh.. Not a bad idea.. I think I may do that..
