The cancer has spread to my dad's stomach. They start a new chemo treatment tomorrow and if it doesnt have any effects he has ~2 months to live.

Please keep him in your prayers.

That is difficult news...but do your best to focus on the treatment and the process rather than project the outcome.

Prayer is coming your way from my keyboard in Phoenix tonight.

Prayers coming from Lakeland tonight. Make sure that you say I Love you as often as you can in the time remaining for your father. That was the the last thing I was able to tell my mother when she passed.

Banshee - so very sorry to hear this as well. Prayers going out to your family. My brothers and I received a similar prognosis with our father, who was terminally ill with colon cancer, in 1988. We spent a lot of time with him and eachother. Telling funny stories, laughing sometimes, crying others when he didn't see us. Near the end, the cancer had progressed and he had dementia/confusion. It was the saddest time in my life but I had my brothers to lean on and of course, my wonderfully supportive husband. Please lean on others right now and spend as much time with your dad. I will be thinking of you in the coming days ahead.

banshee - you are in our thoughts and prayers.
remember to be as positive as you can be with your dad. but let him express to you his fears as well. be sure to ask him things about his life that maybe you don't know - things you can carry with you forever and pass on to your kids.
Also have faith - miracles do happen and you could have more time than you think, but treat your time with him like you only have today.
I went through this with both my parents - it is a difficult time for all.
Remember to share your fears and your grief with someone close to you.
You all with get through this by looking to God to give you strength.
