STORM2K

Since there haved been many new members registered after this same question was posted I am bringing it again.

I found Storm2k in the year 2002 on october 10th only 2 days after the board iniciated thanks to chad who gave me the link and since that moment this board is an addiction to me.

I've forgotten... I was here before I registered...

When I found out MWatkins was posting here now, I came a lookin'!

Searched for "weather forums" on Yahoo .

It was a link in a forum thread I was reading over at PCQ&A forums

LOL at tripping over S2K, or finding it on Yahoo. I do google a lot (sounds funny to say that) so is Yahooing the same as googling? LOL Theoretically I might have found S2K by Yahooing too.....picturing you Shawn Yahooing!!! Wearing a Texan hat too!

Like cycloneye, I've been here since the beginning, following a link from GoPbi and I've loved it here ever since. I remember the very early days when I'd come here and make a few posts and then check back the next day to see if there was a reply yet.
That didn't last long though as we grew quickly.

Been here since the inception. A former Admin invited me. I remember those days SG!!!

Yes Luis - I led the parade over here!!!

Just kidding....

No not entirely true. I would say that many before me joined S2K (Dennis for one). I was a holdout. I guess in my naive way, I thought TWC would change - wait, did you feel an earthquake when I said that? LOL When Eric was banned, I could not believe it. A former chat room moderator banned?!!!! That is when I severed ties to TWC, but I eventually was banned too, from voicing my opinion on Eric's ban. But I still don't think I hurried over here. Eric kept telling me of several good wx boards. But he kept saying one in particular was what I was used to and would like the most - S2K.

And Voila, I switched alliances.....didn't delete my old TWC bookmark for quite a while though.

I should add that my nic and password at TWC no longer work - again. A year ago they began letting people back in. I re-joined and was able to still have Miss Mary as my nic. TLC/Tracy posted wx pics of the pre-xmas snow/ice storm there and I couldn't even see them! She put me in touch with an Admin. who said he'd look into it. Never did. He emailed me the other day asking if 'the matter' was resolved yet....LOL "I said no but no thank you. And for what's it's worth, a cable station's message boards should be open to the public!" Had to get that little schpeel in there. LOL I am SO GLAD I made the switch!

Love it here at S2K!

One member I'm most proud of inviting to S2K is Linda. I pestered her something awful. She finally joined S2K and just look at her post count! Not to mention she's a Mod now.....I know I've invited others but Linda took her S2K membership and ran with it!

Right now TWC is a dead board but Storm2k is rocking !!!!!

I came over when I saw Lindaloo over at "the other board" being called out (or whatever it was) about some instance. I just clicked on S2K and I have been here ever since!

I found S2K through hurricane track, just this past hurricane season. Yup, I am addicted.

I came here after the great TWC brouhaha. I think that I emailed streetsoldier and he pointed me in the direction to here.

Not sure how I originally found the site. Ive been here for years. Mainly hung around in the Hurricane Hollow area when I first got onto these forums. I believe I heard about it through there. So I guess you could say Ive been here since the beginning. Now I am part of the staff!

Hmmmm i think a little birdy told you.

I came with the first wave of refugees from twc when they pulled the plug. And like Miss Mary and countless others i ended up getting banned. Mainly for posting links to s2k. Hard to believe its been about 2 years already.
