Does Hollywood make you sick?

the following is from Bruce Eberlie - Millions of Americans website:

Hollywood stars and media elite are pouring out of their
Beverly Hills mansions and penthouse suites to attack and
weaken America. When they do, they're not just attacking
George W. Bush, they're attacking our flag, our history, our
veterans and they're attacking you and me!

Danny Glover: "Yes, he's (President Bush) a racist. We all
knew that but the world is only finding it out now."

Robert Altman: "The present government in America I just
find disgusting...I just find (President Bush) an
embarrassment"

Janeane Garafalo: "Sure...when Communist U.S.S.R. was a
superpower, the world was better off...the right-wing media is
trying to marginalize the peace movement."

Larry Hagman: "A sad figure (George W. Bush):not too well
educated, who doesn't get out of America much...He's leading
the country towards fascism."

David Clennon (of "The Agency") told Sean Hannity that
America today reminded him of Nazi Germany. Was he
comparing Bush to Adolf Hitler? No. Clennon said, "Hitler is
smarter than Bush."

George Clooney: "You can't beat your enemy anymore through
wars...we can't beat anyone anymore." Right on the money again,
George.

Spike Lee: "America doesn't have the moral right to tell
other people what to do...To say the whole world has to fall
into line is you-know-what...I hope more people will rise
up."

Well, Spike, and the rest of you America haters, that's
exactly what we're going to do. You woke the sleeping giant
that is the American public and we are about to rise up.
We will not sit back while anti-American protestors trash America, her
Commander-In-Chief and her patriotic citizens, while living
under the blanket of security and freedom that our military
and leaders provide.

Anti-american rallies are happening all over the world as well as
here in the United States while liberated Iraqis kiss pictures
of President Bush. Aren't we supposed to stand
behind our Commander in Chief?

Wow j, those are some pretty powerful words from Hollywood...I wonder why us regular working folk, love and appreciate our country and the freedoms our country stands for, yet the rich and pompous asses in Hollywood, denounce our country, but sure love to express, and abuse? their "freedom" of speech...they may think they are untouchable, nestled away in their Hollywood Hills, but they are just as susceptible as any of us, to terrorism, and the rest...Why is THAT particular group so anti American?

Yes, I do.

If they have a problem with the US Gov't...then move to a different country...don't let the door hit you on your behind when you leave.

I don't know Steph (why they are so Anti-American). One theory is they are insecure and need attention. The sad part is there are enough sympathizers here in this Country to keep their jaws-a-flapping. I value their opinion about as much as a bag full of assh***s.

Here is what I don't understand........we can fire a football coach because his actions do not represent the position he has been chosen for and he "disgraced" the school.........but these actors can do anything, say anything, get arrested, sell and do drugs, insult our intelligence and insult our country. What happens to them? Nothing!! They get more money and more media attention and the coach mentioned before loses his job, probably his family. I am soooo confused!!!!!! :?:

Its more than just actors that can say anything, get arrested, and do drugs. They just have a platform to speak off of unlike the avg person. Although i don't agree with much of what they said...some of the things they say are almost right on.

While I don't agree with what they say, I think they have a right to say it. I think that you shouldn't generalize celebs by the way because there are some pro-Bush stars out there like Dixie Carter and The Rock. Give celebs some credit...there are a few that are pro-Bush... actually there are probably many more, but they are closeted for fear of losing their chance in getting roles for TV.

I think the one's that support our country, don't feel the need to get up on the soapbox. They are more inclined, as evidenced in recent weeks, to speak out against their fellow hollywood types that are embarassing their industry. I applaud them.

Some of Hollywood makes me sick (those quoted above)...

However, some in Hollywood make me very proud to be an American...patriotic men and women such as Gerald McRaney, Charlton Heston, and Susan Howard.

This probably is appropriate.

"Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" by Good Charlotte

Always see it on TV
or read it in magizines
Celebrities that want sympathy
All they do is piss and moan
inside the Rolling Stone
Talkin about how hard life can be

I'd like to see them spend a week
livin life out on the street
I don't think they would survive
If they could spend a day or two
walking in someone else's shoes
I think they'd stumble and they'd fall, they would fall (fall)

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They're always complainin, always complainin
If money is such a problem
Well they got mansions, think we should rob them

Did you know if you were famous you could kill your wife?
And there's no such thing as twenty-five-to-life
As long as you got the cash to pay for Cochren
Did you know if you were caught and you were smoking crack
McDonalds would'nt even wanna take you back?
You could always just run for mayor of D.C.

I'd like to see them spend a week
livin life out on the street
I don't think they would survive
If they could spend a day or two
walking in someone else's shoes
I think they'd stumble and they'd fall, they would fall

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They're always complainin, always complainin
If money is such a problem
Well they got mansions, think we should rob them (rob them, rob them)

(they would fall, they would fall)

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They're always complainin, always complainin
If money is such a problem
You got so many problems, think I could solve them

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
We'll take your clothes, cash, cars, and homes
Just stop complainin

Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
