"WOW!" O'tay, here's the scoop, I've been having some SERIOUS problems with my left foot, ya know, I had surgery on the 7th of Feb? WELL, seems there are 2 sutures that did NOT disolve and has caused a very serious infection, went to Flagstaff AGAIN today (3rd time in over 3 weeks), sawbones wrote a script for a anti biotic called *Cypro*, be glad your sitting down for THIS one, for 30 pills, "$210!" :o :o :o :o :o :o Of course, if this is what it's gonna take to make this stupid foot heal, so be it, I had that money stashed for my new sidearm

LIke I told Bill, I can't walk on a gun "LOL!" This is REALLY gettin' OLD, everything was going so good, then all of a sudden, this red sore pops up and the foot hurts like a SOB, AH WELL, waa-waa-waaa, could be worse I guess
Dennis :o

JQ's right about Cypro treating anthrax. I bet that's why the stuff is so darn expensive. High demand.

The problem with Cypro, only one manufactuer for the drug, no generic equalivelent. NOW.....you go into Mexico, you can buy Cypro *over the counter* for about 3/4 LESS than you pay in the states!!!!

It's that little black cloud that's been following you!!!!! By the way, weren't you supposed to take it easy for 4-6 months???
Take care my friend. Sorry about the sidearm. I guess we could have actually called you Hop Along Cassidy if you had a side arm.
I hope the meds help in a hurry

Dennis - sure hope the meds work.....wow, did a double take with the price tag. But then I remembered my recent co-pay for Allegra, only $50. I said no thanks, and bought over the counter Claritin. A long time ago, I went to the dentist for what I thought was dental pain, turns out it was a sinus infection. DDS ordered an obscure antiobiotic too. This was years ago.....forget which one right now. Cost? $110. I don't know what my DDS was thinking.....I used to work for ENT docs, several types of antibiotics will do just fine for a sinus infection. Pharmacy called him for another Rx....long story short I got an Rx, approved by our Ins. and my co-pay covered it. Sounds though as if you really need Cypro, so it's justified. But there goes some groceries, dinners out, etc. huh? Medicine/Meds are out of control. What can you do? Get better and heal Dennis.

I hope you feel better soon Mr. Snowman.
I do not know much about the different types of antibiotics, but when I have a sinus infection my doc gives me "Augmentin" it is an antibiotic/pain medicine rolled into one. And it is rather expensive, but my co-pay is only 20 dollars on any medicine. Thank goodness.

Thank heavens for *in laws* (well, sometimes "LOL!")
My father in law is a retired CWOII from WWII, he's on this health care program from the VA, it's called *Tri Care for Life*.....ANY scripts are just $3, doesn't matter WHAT it is. ANYWAYS, he has skin cancer from the nuclear testing in the Bikini Islands, he had surgery on one of them, they gave him 100 Cypro (can you IMAGINE what THOSE cost, sheeesh!) he couldn't take them, SOOOO he sent them to me!!!!
One thing about Cypro, it's THE strongest antibiotic that there is PERIOD, it's so strong, it kills the bacteria in your stomach and the whole GI system, talk about a stomach ache!!
Thanks for all the concerns, yes indeed, it's been a LONG haul for sure. Karan, what was the cartoon character on *Lil Abner*?? The one who had that dark cloud over him everywhere he went?? "That's ME!" "LOL!"

Sheesh Dennis. I hope your foot and your friend both get better. Double check the dosages on those pills. They may come in different mg dosage per pill. You want to kill those germs, not just make them mad.
