ROGUE RIVER, Ore. -- Mary Jo and Jeff Hatch's investment in a small convenience store is paying off big time.
Jeff recently sold himself an Oregon lottery ticket worth $2.2 million.
When he told his wife of 35 years the good news, she thought he was joking. Mary Jo said it took a while to sink in, because her husband is such a kidder.
The owners of the Market Basket mini-mart make out two ways. Not only are they lottery winners, but they also get a commission as the retailers who sold the winning ticket.
