Going to wipe my OS soon

I am going to re-wipe my Win 98 OS on my old comp (again, since the first time I didn't have a product code key number) and try it again with a number that a friend of mine gave me. Wish me luck WxBuddies!
(btw ... I will not do this till 7 PM PDT)

I wonder if the code will work. The code is, I believe, for a specific copy of the program, not for the program in general. If that is the case, then only your code will work and not any code. Anyways, if it does work, great. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

It didn't work.
It said the number was invalid. I don't know what to do now.

As I said in my post above, each copy has its own code - not each program. Thus, there isn't one code for windows. I guess you will have to find your code or just borrow a copy and its code from somebody else.

I looked everywhere for the code but to no avail.
Oh well, guess I'll just suffer
without it.
