Upon visiting Bill O'reilly's website, I voted on this question. I voted No.

I thought it was interesting since I played golf last night and this topic came up at the clubhouse following the round. Of the 18-20 golfers who staid, it was a resounding No to this question.

Just curious as to where the 35% is coming from. Is it safe to assume, that every woman, or very close to 100% voted YES, based on my observations last night with an all male contingent?

Just curious about the females in our group and how they would vote, and why.

Now mind you, this was not a group of drunk woman hating men...quite the contrary..I know them all well, and they love their wives and treat them with the utmost of respect. We were all in agreement that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with woman having their own clubs, organizations, leagues...and not allowing men to participate.

Just curious...again about the 35%???????????

I don't think they should. Let the men have their game and the women have theirs. Next the girls's will want to join the Boy Scouts and vice versa. JMO, pls don't jump my case.

Nope.. I dont think they should.. Just as I dont think a man should not play in the WNBA. Stick to your own league sweety..

I think we're at the point where any sex, race, ethnic group, etc. can have their own groups or clubs that could be just as successful as the next. Just like with the Masters - I think that the women should have their own "Masters" - they are free to do so.

I am one who believes 100% in gender equality, so I say yes they should.

It is unfair to have one female play with a whole roster of men. We can't have women playing all sports with men.

That's like excluding men from women's sports IMO. What's to say that's right as well?

Mem should play in mens leagues and women should play in Womens leagues.. If someone wants to start a co ed league then go for it.. But a mens league is a mens league and a womens league is a womens league.

That is true Mar ... er Chad , but I don't have any problem whatsoever with co-ed activity.

I play golf against the computer and there's no women on there. No men either for that matter.

First of all, this week's golf course is set up for the PGA. Therefore, the yardage will exceed the layouts that Anika is accoustomed to, so it will bee a challenge for her. But, she will beat some of the guys out there and I think that has alot of players nervous.

Joshua, I agree with you 100%, I really do. I don't see why anyone would say one female playing with a whole contigent of men makes sense. No offense, just an observation.

I must be more liberal than I thought, because IMO if a woman is good enough to be competitive against men golfers...I say more power to her.

Of course, my viewpoint is skewed somewhat...

1) I'm a tremendous fan of Annika Sorenstam....and Karrie Webb (the LPGA in general).

2) Becky is a very talented golfer...much better than I'll ever be.
Maddie is also a natural athlete...at age 8 1/2 already a better skier than her mom, and taking ski lessons with 12 & 13 year olds (is a huge fan of Picabo Street); and quite a little golfer.

Lets clear up something. THE PGA TOUR IS NOT A MENS CIRCUIT! Before those people vote in the poll, they need to read the rule books a little more closely. They will see that there is no rule whatsoever in the PGA Tour rules stating that the competetors must be men. It is a tour for the best players.

Also, in a few years, look for the British Open to dropped as a major as they have said that even if a women were to legitimately qualify, she will not be allowed to play. When Michelle Wie is a few years older and legitimately qualifies and is barred from playing, kiss that tournament good bye as a major then the TPC status debate will be resolved

I don't see what all the fuss is about; Mildred "Babe" Didrikson-Zaharias was playing golf on "men's" courses 60 years ago, and doing quite well at it.

Those voting based upon the belief that the PGA Tour is a mens tour. Women should not be on a mens tour, but the fact is, the PGA Tour is gender neutral. It just so happens that the best players in the world are men and a woman has yet to have the talent to compete. Sorenstam should be able to have a decent performance, as Michelle Wie will (she will win major championships against the likes of Mickelson and Woods when she figures out that she needs to make the 8 2 footers that she has per round for birdie, instead of 3-putting them). Very few women have the talent, but those that do should be on the tour for the world's finest
