You have got to be kidding me!!

It took YEARS before Patty Duke finally got one last August, after nearly FIFTY years in show business, one Oscar, eight Emmy nominations and three wins, four Golden Globe nominations and two wins, and a People's Choice award.

He gets one for barely a decade of only playing himself?

Nope, I searched it out and found the event listed on the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's website for Walk Of Fame events. http://www.hollywoodchamber.net/

It's schedule for Wednesday at 11:30 AM.

Well he isn't getting it for American Idol if you care to know that. He got it for his years as a very successful radio host in LA.

Still seems premature for him to get one at all just yet. There are those who really belong there...and this seems to diminish the importance of it all.

But then again, I do not know his entire history..only the limited info I've heard and seen in recent years.

I agree.

I just thought maybe some were upset based on his American Idol performance alone. If he got one for that, then I would suggest Anne Robinson get one for her long-standing performance on Weakest Link. ;)

I understood that it was for his radio work, but I still think it's early.

You know what I just thought about...

I think GalvestonDuck should have her own star. How many ducks do you know of that access forums on the internet... and can mod nonetheless.

Only in America...

LOL, Garrett!

Well, they require a minimun of five years in the entertainment industry. I've only been a member here 2 1/2 and a mod for less than that. Plus, the sponsorship cost $15,000. Maybe in a few years, you can save up that much (or get donations from members  ) and I will have sold a script by then.

I can just imagine tourists' faces as they stroll along the Walk. "Milton Berle...Sharon Stone...Patty Duke...Johnny Mathis...Billy Joel...GalvestonDuck...Helen Hayes...wait...go back. GalvestonDuck...who's that? Was that a Muppet?" :)
