Cliff Hanger or Middle Earth?

Kathy and I have had a king bed for about 13 years now. If I try hard enough, I might be able to remember the early years of our marriage when we spent more time on "middle earth" than we do now. We have evidence of that. Jason and Jarrod.
These days, habit finds us both more likely to be "cliff dwellers," leaving a whole lot of space in the middle of the bed while we sleep precariously close to the edge of the mattress. Sasha, our dog of 16 years, can be blamed for that. She would get on the bed and want to cuddle next to us from the middle. We'd move over. She would too. Before long, she had 70% of the bed to herself, and we had 15% apiece.
And I suspect just like many of you, there is one side of the bed that can be claimed as yours...regardless of whether you are at home, at your mother-in-laws, on vacation, or outside camping.
Mine is to the left as you look toward the headboard from the foot. Never been anything else. If I weren't being cremated, I'd probably have the same spot in the casket.
