The POWER of Prayer!

This has been a ROUGH month for a LOT of us here at storm2K and elsewhere, raine with her son Dakota, Stormsfury (Mike) and his father, me and my foot

and countless others who have asked for the *Mighty Prayer Warriors* to step up to the plate and ask the Father for his Divine intervention. We have been witnessing the POWER of PRAYER at it's finest

any doubts as to the POWER of PRAYER, ask Jacki, ask Mike, it WORKS! AMEN!!

Yes Dennis, that's right. In fact, I need some prayers because I pinched my sciatic nerve and it hurts real bad for me to walk.

Yesterday it was so bad that I couldn't get up without crouching over and limping in pain.

Grunting in pain too.

So sorry to hear that Josh, "Ask and it shall be given unto you!" You got it Bro, you'll be in my prayers!

The power of prayer is AMAZING! I have experienced it and God is the FIRST person I ask for help. If there is ever anyone who needs prayers I give them, prayers have saved my life and I am going to "give back" what was so freely given to me.

Amen Dennis! That is so awesome. I can't wait to hear her story.
I also said a prayer for you today Josh!
In the meantime, I'll share something with you as further evidence. When my son was 7, he choked on a piece of chicken (which is scary enough). After that, he was so afraid of choking that he completely stopped eating food for 10 weeks. He lived on Ultra Slim Fast the whole time, which was the only powdered mix I could find with any fiber in it. We took him to doctors all over the place. Even had his esophagus scoped and biopsied at their recommendation.
After 10 weeks of this, one Thursday morning, the prayer team at my church lifted him up in prayer (unknown to me at the time). Three (3) hours later, we were riding in the car, and he turned to me and said, "Mom, I want a pepperoni pizza." Well, I would have driven him to the MOON! It took him 1½ hrs to eat ½ slice, but it was a start. I found out a few days later about the timing of the team's prayer.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind Who healed him!!

I'm so thrilled by God's mercy and the power of prayer. I'm a living miracle....because the doctors didn't believe I'd live; not a premature baby less than a week old with pneumonia...I was too frail, too weak to survive -- yet here I am 41 years later.
I should be so depressed this morning. My great aunt went blind since I accepted Christ on Easter weekend. My cousin Susie..a woman I love like an older sister is lying near death; my second cousin was diagnosed with malignant melanoma a few days ago..the prognosis isn't good. Becky's father in law...a friend of mine...he's dying with prostate cancer (diagnosed grade 4 last August...remission has been shorter than hoped). He's been so good to Becky's kids...Becky loves him, considers him a father.
I'm not depressed this morning, but instead feel a calm and peace in my heart. For those of you that knew me in 2000....depression and agony over my great aunt Ruby slowly dying from liver disease and kidney failure (lived right next door) was a
major factor in my disruptive behavior on the GoPBI Storm2000 board.
Watching her fighting as hard as she could, yet realizing the inevitable, seeing her crying because she was dying was killing me...the pain eating me alive (she died on Christmas Day 2000); and I took it out on everyone on that forum...on my friends
I love Susie even more than I did aunt Ruby...we're closer. I have photos of Suz holding me as a baby, her 11 or 12 years old, me sitting in her lap when I was 4 and her a teenager...she's been my big sister (all three of uncle Gene's daughters are like older sisters to me).
I've shed tears over her the past two days...because she's hurting...and because I love her; not because I'm depressed or want to die.
I wept but don't feel the same burden I felt when aunt Ruby was so sick and dying...don't have any anger or desire to hurt others or lash out. All I want to do is be nice...make others feel better.
It's not me....I'm not that brave nor anything special. It's the power of God working in my life, giving me peace in my heart and comfort when I need it most. I want God to use me as a vessel to bless others; I pray for him to use me, to allow me to be a blessing to everyone I meet.
There is great power in humble earnest prayer....miracles do still happen...I'm living proof
God Bless each of you!
Perry

I now want to ask you all for help. Over the weekend, a friend of mine actually SNUBBED me, and it made me mad.

I just want you all to pray that I can deal with this issue, and that God will help me to see that maybe this wasn't intentional.
I have already discussed this issue with Stephanie and TLC, and I now just want to ask your help.
Thanks and Love in Christ,
Jeremy

I can understand that kind of hurt Jeremy. You've got prayer from Indiana today.
Perry, you've had more than your share of trials but have got a lot of inner strength. God bless!
