Giant Baby weighing 48 pounds

Calcutta, India-Eleven-month old Lokman Hakim Mondol, who weighs 48 poinds, is brought to a hosptial today by his grandfather. His mother tries to cool him with a hand fan. Lokman consumes 1.3 gallons of milk and 2.2 pounds of rice flour every day and is supected to be suffering from a rare hormone disorder.

I hope that baby was delivered by Caesarean??

He is 11 months old now. The newspaper article did not say what his birth weight is. I guess he has to wear Depends since none of the baby diapers will fit him.

Hope the kid won't have juvenile diabetes for ie. later in his youth...a baby that heavy at birth...my heart goes out to him.

And I thought my friend's baby was big. My friend's has a baby and he is 4 months old. At his 4 month checkup, he weighed 20 pounds! My cousin's baby is 14 months old and she only weighs 21 pounds. Only a pound difference! My friend's baby is already in a 12 month old clothes. I think she overfeeds him. Feeds him everytime he cries. She is a nurse, so she should know better.
