Magna Cum Laude!
You clearly have a handle on what the Illinois State Board of Education thinks an 8th-grader should know. You got 10/10 correct.

You got 6/10 correct.

Never was any good at geometry.

Still in the A range (9/10) -- I forgot the definition of "congruent" angles.

Magna Cum Laude!

But I only got 8/10

I forgot the surface area of a cube, and I did a subtraction in my head a tad too fast (10 - 3.5 does not equal 7.5 :P )

Not even gonna try. Once I got out of school and the dreaded math classes, I bought a calculator, then Excel and never looked back.

Same here...math (except ballistics, for military/police service, when I could see a USE for it) was never my strong suit.

$%^%$#@* (9/10)

I was in a hurry and in the last one, I just determined the length of the hypotenuse and forgot to subtract that from the length of the two sides. Those sneaky test writers anticipated a common mistake and made that one of the possible answers!

I gave it a shot even though I went through school making 5 A's and a D in math on my report cards. Used to drive my teachers crazy not to mention that it gave me an ulcer in eighth grade. I got 5 out of 10.

"Phobic", no...show me a practical USE for it, and I'll show interest. :larrow:

You honestly don't see a good use for Topology, or Linear Algebra? :( :(

Mathematics is the most beautiful and interesting of all fields of human understanding. I love math, even though I would never be able to go to graduate school for it.

Mathematics doesn't need uses, uses come from mathematics. Boolean algebra was developed a while before computers...

That's what I thought. A few years later, I was writing my doctoral magnum opus. Ya never know.
