Actually, this is a pretty striking result if verified. One thing to consider is that rather than having shut off the subsidence, it may merely have been relocated. I'm not aware of any data indicating that the THC has slowed appreciably in the recent years, which one would expect to happen quite rapidly if subsidence were shutting down.
