That is the worst thing... I was so tired Sunday Night when I laid down but it took me an HOUR to get comfortable and actually fall asleep.

Tylenol PM works wonders too. I rarely take it because I'm so tired by the time I hit the sheets that I conk right out, but on those rare occasions I do, 30 minutes or so after taking it and I'm out like a baby!

If I didn't have a neighbor with young kids, I'd play my guitar, and play the blues. :(

I wouldn't say lucky. I don't sleep much most nights. That's why I pass out when I hit the sheets. lol

I know it's not healthy. I keep telling myself I need to get more sleep but here I am posting in a thread about someone else who can't fall asleep, and yapping in chat.

Geez, I'm hopeless! lol

I always find reading First Chronicles to be a sleep inducing experience. And if you are a Christian you will feel good for doing your homework.

Oh yes I had this problem last night when I did a very unintelligent thing and took 24-hour non-drowsy sudafed before I went to sleep....actually....I slept in about 10 30-minute increments between 12 AM and 11 AM, the rest involved rolling around, intensive thought, etc.

I wish I could sleep more than five hours a night. Most of the time I only sleep four hours. Thank God for the computer.

Melatonin works like a charm for me. Comes in either 1 or 3 mg size pills. Within 15 minutes it's lights out and no hangover in the morning. Several of our employees who frequently travel internationally use it to help get over the jet lag.

Probably works like valerian extract (found in the vitamin aisle). It relaxes you but doesn't make you feel drugged or drowsy. It just calms you (especially if you get restless at times, like I do) and lets you go to sleep.
