I am asking once more for good thoughts and prayers to be sent my way. My grandpa (stepdad's dad) had a stroke around 8:30 this morning, and is being treated right now. :( We don't know the extent of the effects, but we do know he had a full-fledged stroke. :( Please pray for me and my family. Thanks. :(

Will do. We think, and hope, he will get to go home Tuesday at the latest. We don't know how badly his motor function is impaired. He's diabetic and has high blood pressure too, so we're not sure what's next. May have him move in here after he gets home, especially if this stroke severely limited his movement.

Like I said, I will be sure to do so. As a matter of fact, I expect to hear something within a couple hours. My folks went back to the hospital at 5:00, and I had to stay home with the littlest brother who is too young to go there(he's 10).

Appears he has stabilized at the moment. Still on track to go home Tuesday unless there's major developments.

sounds like, from the fact there already talking about releasing him...its was a mild stroke, I had a friend some time ago who had a moderate stoke, they kept him 3 weeks...so the fact that they plan on releasing him so soon is indded great news

Jeremy - not to give you false hope, but that's what I was thinking too . Thank HD for pointing that out. My BIL had a devastating stroke and was in the hospital/rehab center for 3 months. If his stay is for only a few days, that's a very good sign he can return home and be able to care for himself. Sometimes they can turn a stroke around, if the patient is taken to the ER within 3 hours of it's onset. And if certain conditions are in place. I'll hope for that Jeremy.
