More Prayers for Raine and Dakota, please.

I just got home to find a email from Raine. Seems Dakota has developed pancreatitis. They have found 3 pockets of fluid. One near the pancreas, one around the liver and one in the pelvic area. They feel that the pancreatitis may be caused by the fluid. They are going to try to drain these pockets while he is in radiology for tests. They feel that this fluid is causing the spikes in his temp.
Jackie sounds completely exhausted, scared and lonely. It's going to be a long uphill battle. Even when Dakota gets home, he will have IV antiobiotic and possible feeding tubes if he still has the pancreatitis.
Please, Please pray for this wonderful family.

Karan,
OMG, this poor family. And Dakota, so young to be going thru all of this. Of course I'll pray, more so now than ever before.
Thanks Karan for keeping us informed. I'm sure Jackie is exhausted. Wish we could all lend a hand right now. We're all so separated by miles but not in spirit.

Southerngale - I believe Dakota is of Middle School age. I have a picture of him, from the Christmas card Jackie sent. I'll go look for it. She might have added his age on the back.

Karan...your friendship and support of Jackie and her family are such an important thing for her right now.
Angels come in to our lives from time to time. Some we know. Some we don't. Yet still they carry part of our burden for us when we need it most. And they sometimes uplift us when we are down in spirit.
You fit the bill for Raine.
...as we all continue to pray and pull for Dakota to find his way through this very difficult time.
