Montgomery Inn in Cincy!!

You can get 'em mail-ordered, too, but TOO expensive for my folks and I in that regard!
At least Cincy Skyline chili is sold here in Raleigh!

SMOKEY BONES( new BBQ Place) sure beats Sonny's BBQ here in Lakeland.More choice for your money and they serve drinks that Sonny's doesn't. So if you like a mixed drink with a plate of BBQ Smokey Bones is the place to go.

We had a GOOD BBQ place called "Bo's", but the owner retired, the kids ddin't want to keep it open, so it now sits there...a beautiful two-floor restaurant/bar structure, unused.

I have to disagree with that about sonnys--I ate at the one in Atlanta once and the food they served me was not cooked all the way. I have eaten at a sonnys here in Jax and gotten sick thereafter. Also, their barbque requires you to add your choice of sauce kindof as a topping--to me, that is not real barbque unless you have all day to mix the sauce into the meat that is served. My grandmother owned a restraunt in Lenox, Ga called Bakers Real Pit BarBQ--it was the best and she made the best brunswick stew as well! She served her barbque with the sauce already mixed in it and it was great! I prefer woodys here in Jax or any family owned barbque restraunt local before I will eat at sonnys!

U_M_M_M...None of the family had any complaints about the food they ate (not even the sauce) No one got sick either. In fact, some of the people eat there a few times a month.

The Sonny's BBQ here in Douglasville, GA isn't very good either. While I didn't get sick eating there, the BBQ left a lot to be desired....wasn't very tasty.
In fact, these are my fav BBQ joints in Douglas County...and you'll notice Sonny's on Douglas Boulevard is nowhere in sight..
1) Hudson's BBQ on US Hwy 78 west
2) Smokey Bones on Douglas Blvd
3) Williamson Bros BBQ on Hwy 5
4) BBQ House on Thornton Rd. (also known locally as "Fred's BBQ" House)

In south LA, we don't have that many bar-b-que places to eat but they did just open a Smokey Bones nearby, not too shabby. But I have to tell you about this place we ate at in Chattanooga TN while on vacation last week called Sticky Fingers bar-b-que. That is the best I've ever eaten and their sauce kicked but, we even bought a bottle of the habenero bar b que sauce to take home. We've already used it once.

The Sonny's here closed...just as did the Corky's BBQ. The best bbq here is a local...Ruby's Restaurant. Yum! And for babyback ribs I'll head to Baton Rouge for TJ Ribs!

I just found out that the bowl was not filled with sauce..that was baked Beans. The sauce was spread over the ribs and cooked and everyone said they were delicious!!
