Has any storm2k members ever met each other? I know with all the things about people meeting online in the news has anyone ever felt nervous?

i know and have met 2 people on this board!
BreinLa....we've known each other about 10 years or so. We live near each other and are friends outside of here too. I didn't know she was involved with s2k when I joined.
Tenspeed...met her in chat. I finally figured out who she was...small world...she introduced me to my husband 26 years ago!!!!!
Breeze...was supposed to meet her last year when she came down for the crawfish festival. She was less than a mile from me several times but due to my daughters dance revue I was unable to meet her. I'm hoping she'll come down again!

The only one I've met in person was Galveston Duck (AFLAC!) just before Christmas last year...she stopped by on her way to KY, and I gave her the "grand tour", including meeting Debi and Annabelle (she be a ho')!

I've met OHD, Houstonia, Raine(hasn't posted in ages, met her in NYC), and Galvez(hasn't posted in ages).
If I try to meet everyone between here and my Mom's in Niceville, FL it would take me at least a week to get there with all the stops I would have to make!! And being the social butterfly I am it could actually take a couple of weeks depending on the good ole Southern hospitality.

Hopefully, at least the next time I go over I can meet Sandi(Gulfbreezer), Alicia, and maybe, FWBbreeze and Dean4storms who all live in the area(actually there are some more, but I can't remember the names).

Have yet to meet any S2k members in person, but over the years I met many (hundreds) weather fans that I only knew from calls or online acquaintances. We had annual meetings from 1983 to 1993..and every year I would meet many new people.
I have met some S2k members BEFORE they were S2k members. Does that count?

I have not actually met anyone from here face to face but stay in touch by phone with many. Johnathan (Rainband) and Jeremy (therock) stayed in contact with me by phone during Ivan. I would love to meet all of you!! Dennis and Steve (AZsnowman and AZskyman) have both been awesome email friends and AIM freinds! I do expect to meet VB soon

Like he said, I've met Streetsoldier (Bill), his wife Debi, and their adorable Annabelle (she be a 'ho) in Missouri. Down here, I've met KatDaddy (Brian) and ClintTX as well as their wives, and Houstonia (Kerry) during a Hou/Galver get-together. I've talked to Lindaloo, Garrett (wx247), Jeremy (therock), Coppertop (Kevin), Rainband (Johnathan), and Miss Mary on the phone.

Is that a southern slang thang.
"The boy from west coast thing"

About the 'she be a 'ho thing'........this is just Streetsoldier/Bill's way of describing his dog Annabelle! I often wonder if he tells her this everyday. He probably does!
Did she come from a shelter Bill? Just curious.....

"She be a ho'" comes from her shameless begging for people food; she'll do ANYTHING for people food!
No, Mary, she didn't come from a shelter, but...the people that had her were gone for 16-18 hours a day, and kept her in a CARRY CAGE in their apartment (behind ours...which is why she's scared that when we go out, for any reason, she's afraid that we've abandoned her).
Finally, the lady(?) gave birth to a baby, and decided she didn't want the poor thing...her husband, an nice young man, came over to my back door, Annabelle in one hand (she was TINY, at about 5 months old) and asked if we'd take her.
We did. Some people should never be allowed to have a pet.

you wonder how they'll ever be able to take care of a baby!

*snicker*
I think maybe wxcrazy was confused and thought that you were using that phrase to describe me after we'd met, Bill.
