Note to Self....Watch for rabbits

Went on the nightly bike ride tonight, and things were going great, until a rabbit darted in front of us (we were going about 30 mph). So, I swerved to miss him, and laid down the ole' mountian bike.
Now I am sure you all know about road rash, well, I have a grade A case of it. Sore shoulder, all the stuf that goes with falling off.
As I get older, these things hurt more!!

Ouch, I'll third it. I grimaced reading your post. I would have swerved too, natural instinct. Hope you heal quickly!

I think I would have had "Woast Wabbit" for dinner!

That was not a typical rabbit you encountered. That was the dreaded Runny Babbit. The cuter, fuzzier cousin of the Bunny Rabbit. Runny Babbit's are considered very lethal. Their whole purpose in life is to dart out infront of moving vehicles to make them swerve and crash.
You are very lucky to be alive. These cute little buggers do their jobs very well,as you have obviously found out. Next time, hopefully there will not be a next time, you will fare as well as this time. Always be watching. They are out there and do their jobs very well.
Get well soon. :o

Sorry to hear about the accident...but that your recovery will still take place. No broken bones, it seems.
I have to ask, however. Did you look back to see if that rabbit met up with another rabbit in the road and gave each other high fives as the two squirrels do in the Geico commercial?
If they did...better call Geico and tell them to take that ad off the air. The critters are learning from it.
Get well soon weatherwunder.

I love that commercial! You can really imagine them doing that!
Sorry about the accident weatherwunder! I bet the rabbit appreciates it though!

Ouch weatherwunder! I know that hurts. Did you get med attention? The good old scrub brush routine! Also, is your bike ok?

The bike faired fine, I guess spending all that money pays off.
Did the med attention myself. I have my paramedics license, so it does come in handy!

Your body will heal, right?
When I've went down, there were always two thoughts. How bad am I hurt and how bad is the bike hurt? LOL
