Another friend of Brandon's was killed Thursday. A second one was wounded in this attack. PLEASE remember to keep all of our soldiers in your prayers.

Louisiana guardsman killed by roadside blast in Iraq

Sgt. David Joseph Murray, assigned to Company B 1088th Engineer Battalion, New Roads, La., was killed in a roadside blast in Iraq on Thursday, the Army said on Friday.

Murray, 23, joined the Louisiana National Guard June 30, 2000.

Murray was serving in the 256th Brigade Combat Team. He was killed while conducting combat operations, the Army said.

I can't wait until the 256th comes home. Too many people that I know in it. I think they'll be home by October.

That's what we are hearing Kathy. They are supposed to leave Baghdad by September 4th, and be back in the states by October.

Not soon enough for me. Brandon wasn't on patrol at the time, he is at the prison. We assume that is due to his being wounded recently. Still, I just want him home.
