Crowe vs Clooney

My vote is that Russell Crowe is jealous as all get out of George. Not only is George better looking (infinitely so, imho) but he can actually act.

Phone-hurling actor Russell Crowe has another salvo for George Clooney. The two have had a verbal battle going on since Crowe attacked Clooney and some other stars for cashing in on their fame by appearing in ads; Clooney fired back that Crowe cashes in on his fame with his rock band. “An endorsement for products is about money. My music is from the heart,” Crowe said, reports Australia’s Northern Territory News. “But what I enjoyed, greatly, is nobody seemed to get the irony that one major franchise in George Clooney’s life is based on the work of Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin [Clooney’s remake of ‘Ocean’s 11’]. Sammy, Frank and Dean were entertainers in a real sense. And Clooney climbed over their bones in order to enable him to pick up an endorsement for suits.” . . .

Having grown up in Cincinnati it's fun having bragging rights about George Clooney, his parents Nick and Nina and George's sister who's name escapes me now! :D Also, his late aunt Rosemary! Was neat when his aunt made a guest appearance in an episode of E.R.! :)

For a while George lived in Mason, OH (just outside of Cincy)...later he, his folks and sister lived across the river from Cincy in Maysville, KY. :D
I enjoyed watching his Dad anchor the news on then WKRC-TV12 (ABC) for a period of years when I lived near Cincy in Hamilton, OH. :)

Also, my family has a pic of Nick, Nina and their kids from the early 1970s at the Cincinnati Zoo that my Dad took!! :D

If it weren't for Crowe's attitude, I would say him. I prefer a more "rugged" type man. I just don't like the prima-donna attitude!

I can rent "rugged" by the hour. For the long haul, I'd pick George!

Nope, Sunny. I just guarantee she'll be all about her George. :)

Ick...I don't like that name anymore. Makes me think of George the pharmacist on DH.

Neither one does it for me.
Mel Gibson
Pierce Brosnan

George Clooney all the way! I stopped liking Russell Crowe at the Academy Awards a few years back when he lost out to Denzel Washington. (who deserved it). You could tell that Crowe did not like it that Denzel won over him.

Probably like when Samuel L. Jackson (for "Pulp Fiction") lost the Supporting Actor Oscar to Martin Landau in "Ed Wood." It was clearly readable on his lips when he uttered the S word when the presenter didn't say his name. :)

I was for Gary Sinise though.

I uttered the S word too when Samuel Jackson lost. He was excellent in Pulp Fiction.
