(This used to be "I still don't have girlfriend, but...".)
I do not need to retake my history course!!


Today was to be my first day of class (a Tuesday/Thursday 6-9pm class through August 4). I sat in the corridor near the room reading. The SAME instructor that taught this course (who was going to be the instructor for the summer course) was wondering why I was retaking his course.

I told him that I recieved a "D+". He said that due to my PERFECT attendance ( I even was there during a blinding snowstorm ) and the fact I was only 6 points from a "C-", he would adjust my grade!!

Woo-hoo!

Well isn't this your lucky day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat in a corridor just ready to start class in 10 minutes. First the instructor came through once, and I could tell he was a bit surprised to see me.

Second time through, he sits down beside me and tells me he meant to give me a "C-" becaue of myu PERFECT attendance, but he was VERY busy and things were crazy at the end of the semester that he forgot.

He told me that my name sounded familiar, and when he saw me today, a 60 w light bulb popped on.

In the grand scheme of things...girlfriends can be overrated. History will NEVER be!

Well, what do you know Brian, you do have your summer free afterall! That's great and the final grade, not too shabby either. Glad this worked out!

Steve - that's what I think - girlfriends/boyfriends ARE overrated.....what I tell my daughters all the time. Be patient and it will happen. Focus on it too much and you'll have all sorts of problems a young person just doesn't need.

I am kind of laughing... I think I tried to be too creative in my subject header (I don't have girlfriend,...but...), and a few posts in, the entire reply was on girlfriends! (That's why I changed the title... )

While on that subject, they do seem to be overrated. On Sunday, I was out gathering some carts outside in my store's parking lot, and I saw this couple arguing like the world is going to end tomorrow. The young (25-30) female looked so frustrated that she could have picked up a truck and probably me if she wanted to take it out on someone! Plus...just turn on those afternoon talk shows...ugh!! Yesterday waiting for class, I was in the student center's television lounge watching Judge Judy. There was this boyfriend/girlfriend couple in dispute. Just plain ugly!
