Britney to have baby in Scottsdale

We knew Britney Spears really liked Arizona when she spent a load of cash at the Biltmore Fashion Park earlier this year, only to return a few days later to snatch up a tiara that she just couldn't get out of her head. MSNBC.com reports that Spears has decided to deliver her new baby in a Scottsdale hospital.

According to the item which cites an upcoming issue of Star magazine, the pop tart has selected a deluxe room in an unnamed Scottsdale hospital, where the administrators have arranged to clear the rooms on either side of her for privacy.

Unwanted expectant mothers and babies are not the only ones on Spears' hot list. Apparently the mommy-to-be is leery of hospital staffers as well.

"Britney wants all the nurses serving her to be given background checks," said an insider. Nurses and hospital staff likely to come in contact with Spears will reportedly be screened by hospital administrators as well Spears' mom before being given the all clear.

The tattler adds that the event will be a catered affair complete with flower arrangements. "Britney wants white and yellow roses in the room when she gets there," said the source.

Poppysky's remarks: Of course Britney has several choices in hospitals here, but it seems likely that she'll choose the one just two miles away. I've already asked local storm spotters to be on the lookout for storks with low riding jeans!

Wait 'til this scuttlebutt hits my wife's OB-GYN office and the docs that work there. They are right across the street from the hospital!! Radar will go out for the Britneymobile!

Of course having her and baby in town won't do anything to alleviate the name-calling about this city of 220,000. Just about everyone else in the region refers us as "Snotsdale!"

Heeheehehe! It STARTED in the tabloids, and eventually moved itself up to "People" magazine. Goodness. I can remember when this girl was... MY AGE.

Helen ....the lovechild will be born within 2 miles of my house. There will surely be a warm glow that reaches all the way into my neighborhood that day.

...and if you think most newborns are special, well this one will obviously have low rider diapers to start that new life too!

I hope she doesn't hang the baby out the window in Jacko's honor so her fans can see!!

...interesting isn't it that she is requesting no neighbors in either room beside her AND background checks on staff on nurses.

Obviously the hospital staff did not do their own homework first either...

Okay now Steve....what you have to do now is go get Olivia, put her in her stroller. Go walking every day after Brittney's baby is born, taking along a camera but hiding it. Now be ready to snap a pic at any moment!!! Plan your vacation now - forget Maui, tell Kathy there's a change in plans a foot......literally, you'll be walking Olivia every day for a few weeks!!! LOL

2 miles huh? Is your community a buzz with this news or is it a yawn?

You gotta credit kevin and brit if theyre committed together for life. In that case they're the perfect couple and I wish brit the best on her first bundle of joy. That's all I really have to say.

Yeah you're probably right....there will really need to be angels gathered around for THIS particular baby, given who her MOTHER is going to be.
