I usually am not one to brag, but I wanted to report on an accomplishment. Hope you don't mind.

I started biking to work at the beginning of June. Not every day, but as the weather and other committments allowed. I managed to ride 9 days out of 22 working days. It's 12.2 miles one way with two long hills. It takes about 45 minutes. (average speed a little over 16 mph.) and the times are improving.

Between that and some weekend rides, I totaled 354 miles for the month of June, and have 654 for the year so far. I haven't seen those kind of miles since before I got married and had kids.

They did a health screening at work today. My BP was 116/64 so I must be doing something right.

(Aw shucks, Dennis, I'm working really hard at quitting. I've gone for days recently without any, and am gathering momentum to quit for good.)

Great job Ed! I used to do bike-a-thons. Once did 150 miles in a day. If I tried that today they'd have to bury me still on the bike ;-)
