WHY is it that certain songs you here, you HATE and you CANNOT for the life of you get them out of your HEAD? What song bugs you?

Mine would have to be this STUPID commercial on the radio, it's for a CD with "Your Kids Name on it!" The latest one is with a kid named "Dameon" "Auuuuugh!" I can HEAR IT NOW! "Splash, Splash, Splash Dameons takin' a bath!"

Love Hurts by Nazareth. They play it on the Classic Rock station here. I hate that song, but it will stick in my head. When I broke off an engagement, the guy would call and have the song dedicated to me. I've hated it ever since.

The Wiggles' "Toot Toot Big Red Car" song. My niecelet loves it and it makes me want to drive railroad spikes into my ears.

Also, pretty much any Shania Twain song. dhweather plays her stuff to get me to leave his office at Mach 7 with my hair on fire.

One song that I wll turn off is Leann Rhymes rendition of BLUE

I'd put Achey Breaky Heart in the *gag* *choke* Puke* catagory

"Take My Breath Away" from the Top Gun soundtrack. I don't know why I despise it so much. It's not that I can't get it out of my head. Thankfully, it's actually one that never does get stuck there. But something about hearing those first notes just grates on my nerves and I have to turn it off. I have always disliked it. Same for "Voices Carry," "Bette Davis Eyes," and "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

And that says a lot since I'm an 80's fan.

Now, the one that I hate because it always gets stuck in my head? "Hey Ya" by Outkast.

But there are dozens of others that get stuck there. No problem though because I usually like those. I have a syndrome.

And where did you get the idea that I was a "country boy"? Not quite, sunny; a Danish-Irish transplant from North Dakota to St. Louis to SEMO (Bootheel), I'm unquestionably "urban" in speech, demeanor and approach. Ask AFLAC...she's seen me.

As to "sweet and innocent"...I can't remember that far back. RVN and STL MPD took all of that away permanently.
