Bubble headed blondes

Bringing my rant here so as not to hijack the tropics thread further.
I'm not even a blonde (but I am a big fan of blondes). Why do people just assume that a blonde can't be smart, tough, or capable of doing more than just bouncing her head around on a news cast? You know, a lot of the time, it's nothing more than hair coloring. Lucy Lawless was actually closer to blonde before she got the role of Xena and dyed it black. Look how tough she could be. Renee O'Connor's a pretty smart cookie also...and climbs mountains...and is blonde (usually).
If a woman dyed her hair dark, you guys would take her more seriously than if she bleached it blonde? But boy, when it comes to turning your heads in a bar (I'm guilty too), she's the first one you'll look at. What's with that?

Sure, it's called artificial intelligence.

I don't tend to think of blondes as not being as smart as those of other hair colors. I think that my beef comes with the people that are chosen to anchor newscasts and weathercasts (as we discussed in the tropical forum). There are some extremely intelligent blondes in the news and weather world... Alex Witt of MSNBC, Sharon Resultan of TWC, and E.D. Hill (spelling

) of Fox News come to mind.
Some of the most annoying and "duh" come in a variety of different hair colors including Janice Dean and Juliet Huddy of FNC, Contessa Brewer of MSNBC, Hillary Andrews of TWC, and Carol Costello of CNN.

You know, all those blonde joke steriotypes are all in fun... At least I thought. I never ACTUALLY believed that blondes were less intelligent than others.

You forgot Nancy Grace on COURT-TV...she be dumb.
As to Huddy, there is a "campaign" to replace her with...KIRAN CHETRY.

PM me if interested!

LOL.. Dennis I knew you would find that funny!
I must have multiple "intelligence" disorder then, cause I change the color of my hair very often
I think blonde jokes are just tounge in cheek. But Hollywood has done a good job at making the blonde look dumb and tarty and the brunette smart and dull.

Well I happen to know my daughter is a blonde with very little sense since she had her son. She can put her keys down and turn away and take one step and say where are my keys and be looking right at them when she says it.

My red-headed wife is like that...we call it a "
temporary blonde moment". Annabelle, our apricot toy poodle puppy (she be a ho'), has the "permanent" title sewn up.

I LIKE Nancy Grace. I watch her CNN show religiously. She may be a bit too passionate, but I wouldnt call her dumb. You cant be dumb and make it through law school and pass the bar.

I would agree that Nancy Grace may be crazy, loony, opinionated, and annoying, but she is not dumb.
