O'TAY, I *promise* this WILL be the last thread on TWC........it's getting OLD, yes, a lot of us have been banned from their site, so be it, NOW.......I'm sick to my stomach, I don't watch TWC much anymore, the Local on the 8's is NUTHIN' but a buncha junk, it's so far off, ANYWAYS.....I had the radar on for just a sec and afterwards came this commercial for Storm Stories, they are now doing a *Love Story* segment on SS, how a tornado chase *saved a marriage* COME ON.......yes, we here at storm2K have a LOVE for the weather but to show a documentary on how the weather saved someone???????

As SteveB in another thread said, the newbies on the site are being *brainwashed* into TWC style of thinking, Thank God I'm not over there anymore, I'd BLOW MY COOKIES all over the site over this Storm Stories

"I have to let you go, we got COWS here!" :o
"Another cow..." "Actually, I think that was the same one."
And, my favorite from the tornado-chase team...
"Food. FOOD. FOOD!"

Most of those people on Storm Stories evidently don't ever check
the weather like we do......

You got that right breeze. Come to think of it, 99.9% of the population don't check the weather like we do.

Dennis, I thought you might have been referring to that I actually met someone from the TWC boards in person and ...
Nevermind ...

You are right Dennis. Seems like the actual "weather" days are gone. Talk about popularity going to someone's head. I can't even watch it anymore because of all the junk they throw in, especially during severe weather. What are they going to do if the coasts are threatened with a major cane? show storm stories? Come on. lol.

I've said this before, TWC should feature 2 channels: TWC I - all weather - and TWC II - fluff pieces to their heart's content.
We used to have just MTV I and rarely did we see any music video's on this channel, something our teen daughter wanted to see. She's asked us how MTV used to be in the "old days". It isn't THAT long ago MTV started, I clearly remember it, I was at a card party and the card game stopped b/c a popular artist's music video was on!!! We've told her how MTV back then was music video's almost 24/7. Seems viewers want all video's, so they started MTV II. She longed for MTV II. Now we have both MTV channels so she's happy as can be. And each time she points out the differences in both channels to me, I think of TWC - each and every time. So that's my 2 cents on the subject. But can you see TWC exec's sitting down to watch MTV I and II to see how it's done? They've been watching a little too much HGTV if you ask me......

I know how to make Dorothy fly!
Twister is one of my favorite movies.
A tornado saved a marriage...oh come on! This couple did know how to pray and sacrifice before this twister went through...oh jeez people...it called God is always there...you don't need a drastic event to believe that He is there...its just common sense.

I think weather brings ALL sorts of ppl together, I mean, heck, look at us here

BUT....when your *suppose* to be a *Weather Channel* I'm sorry, relationship issues have no place there. Yes.....sitting outside on a summers evening watching thunderheads roll in with my sweetheart can/is very romantic but dang, leave it to TNN, TBS, CBS anyone, just leave the *mushy stuff* where it belongs!

Well Dennis...it is a REAL stretch to tie a love story to Storm Stories...
...but there are relationships that develop out of interests in weather. Right Furluvcats?
...and there is a couple in Maine who found each other through a mutual weather friendship cultivated by a group just like this...
So you singles...hang close by, you never know.
As for substance and fluff on TWC...I yearn for the simpler all weather days too. Especially during prime time. Two channels would be one way to accomplish that. Weatherscan local just doesn't quite get it here in Phoenix as the alternative.
Us weather crazies want the hard stuff. Radar, temps, wind gusts, etc..

Guilty as charged Steve...
I'm just pissed that they didn't ask Brian and I to star in the first episode

If TWC DID, furball, I'd want to order the "director's cut" version!
