According to my online tv menu, there will be a nationwide IQ test given on the FOX network (WAGA TV channel 5 in Atlanta) tomorrow night from 8 to 10 p.m. local time.

According to the tv guide there will be a studio audience taking the IQ test and viewers across America are invited to take the test also...

I'll be very interested to see my results. In the 9th grade I was told my IQ was around 130, and a recent Emode online IQ test scored my IQ at 127...very close to the 130 my counseler told me in 1976.

God Bless,
Perry

Interesting... I have a question... can your IQ decrease or increase significantly? I know what it was in 9th grade ( 6 yrs. ago), but when I took the online quiz I got a lower score. In 9th grade, it was 146 and last fall it was 130. Quite a drop!

I know what you mean Bill...I'm almost afraid to watch...and may not.

I've taken three or four IQ tests on the internet the past couple years...all hyped as "accurate", and scored between 117 (Mensa) and 148 (some quickie IQ test) --

Emode's is supposedly the most accurate online, and I always score in the 125-129 range...very close to the 130 I supposedly posessed in high school (scored a 127 a few days ago...checking to see if my brain was going south yet :D

Becky took the Emode IQ test twice and scored 119 & 120 -- compared to her reported IQ in high school of 105-110....but she was under tremendous stress/ grief at that time -- combine her child abuse with a college degree from Georgia Tech (which I doubt I could graduate from :D , and I suspect the 120 is much more representative...because sis is a very intelligent woman (scored 1300 on her SAT).

It'll be an interesting show tomorrow night. I'm not sure if I'll take the test or not -- the Mensa test last year was a real downer (only scored 117), and my emotional state isn't the best it's ever been right now, so I may just watch and pass on the test.

Take care,
Perry

Perry,

I have been invited five times to take the MENSA test...and refused each time.

I don't need a "card" or "membership" to validate myself as a sapient human being, thank you very much...and I feel almost a sense of pity for those who do.

Well, amazingly accurate results...at least in my case..

On tonight's IQ test on Fox, I scored a 129 (51 of 60 questions correct = 129 for age group 35-54), only 1 point off the 130 IQ my 8th grade school counseler told me was my status at that time.

Interesting test....very interesting. Men on average scored 2 pts higher than women (113 vs 111); and Democrats and Republicans taking the test online scored exactly the same IQ...113.
