Battle Brewing over Babe's

Looks like Phoenix area resident and stuff magnate Jenna Jameson could make it to one of the city of Scottsdale's zoning hearings...or council meetings, before very long.

Jameson, author of the 2004 book entitled "How To Make Love Like A Pornstar" recently purchased Babe's strip club in south Scottsdale. Neighbors aren't too happy about the new owner's plans, and some are rolling up their sleeves for a hands-on fight to keep it from happening.

Just thought I'd alert you that not only is your S2k Poppysky on permanent lookout for Britney to fly in to have her baby nearby, but now as a member of the city of Scottsdale Planning Commission, he may find himself up to his eyeballs trying to keep "abreast" of developments between Ms. Jameson and the city.

You'll get my personal accounts of both events as they unfold before my eyes!

"How To Make Love Like A Pornstar?" The writing must be as bad as the scripts for that crap. Talk about an oxymoronesque title -- "make love" and "stuff" don't belong in the same sentence.

I can write that book in one paragraph -- "Do it with a camera and eight strangers watching, with someone you really don't love at all. Have people stand around saying things like -- 'Okay, sweetie...turn your head more. John, push her air out of her eyes...I can't see her face. Can we get more light from the left? Cut! Let's do that one more time...the audio wasn't coming through. Is there a short in the mic wiring?'"

Once upon a time I lived in a little city in the CA desert. When a strip club opened on main street the city fathers decided to nip anything more in the bud. They mapped out the whole city showing churches, public buildings such as city hall, courthouse, etc., day care centers, schools, libraries, and residential areas. Then they carefully measured and passed a law which prohibited another strip club within a certain distance of any of these. The law, in effect, banned strip clubs from the city without banning them. The owners of one that was there already were grandfathered in but--it could not remain a strip club once it was sold. They couldn't do anything about the county but it kept them out of the city.
