Javascript Problem

OK, whenever I have a Javascript loop, for some reason I can only animate it and not stop it. It has problems like these for Ramsdis and the NHC graphics archive. And because of this problem I can't save individual images when there's a Javascript loop. 
Does anybody know of problems like these, or am I describing the wrong problem???
