My new mouse sux...it's one of those "ball"-bottom jobs, and the pad isn't big enough..the plastic spacers keep on sticking to its edges. I'd like to get another "LED" mouse, but the $ isn't there.

One of our mice just died too. Since I never throw anythig away and take anything from the "free box" at work, I was able to pull out a new used mouse from the drawer. Ball, no center wheel. It's a PITA, but it works until we can get another one. Your'e right though Bill, once you've used a laser mouse, it actually hurts to go back to a ball mouse. Kind of like the cable modem, eh?

I've been seeing optical mice for under twenty bucks. I think that at Office Depot, the Microsoft basic optical mouse is always like $19.95 or so. I remember just seeing one at Big Lots for like ten dollars (Memorex brand). These mice have come down in pricing, as have some of the wireless rigs.

20 bucks is a rip off. Bought a $3 optical mouse and I'm still using it right now, 1 year later.
