Thought I'd take a sec to wish all of you out there a "Very Happy Fathers Day!" Plan of the Day.........0630 driving range, 0800 breakfast then the rest of the day sitting and watching the final round of the US Open, I'm askin' ya's, does it get any better? A very special Fathers Day to Chad (seeing how it's your first) better enjoy, after the 1st, it goes downhill from there "LOL!" JUST KIDDING, I wouldn't trade it for the WORLD

Happy Father's Day to all my Storm2K father-friends! Hope you have an extra special day in your honor!

i would also like to wish all the fathers out there a happy fathers day. my husband will be enjoying a day of golf and then a big dinner (steaks on the grill) and a lot of tv(golf open). i will be busy catering to him. southermost i have several friends from keywest, being from miami, use to spend alot of time there.

...and let me add my best wishes to those fathers out there on your day. Your children our your gifts...and you, theirs.

Here it is son #2 Jarrod who already has some steak in marinade, a special salad in cold storage, and a promise to make me a "meal worthy of the day."

...til then, a sunrise stroll to the park, some finishing touches on painting a hall closet, and a quick dip in the pool.

Wow, what great plans all of you have. Well, it's your much deserved special day. Raising a child is the most challenging tasks we will ever have - So much responsibility but oh so rewarding. Enjoy your special day when your family can show you just how much they appreciate your love and labor.

My daughters just surprised Jim with tix to the Reds game today. Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain!!! We're in the bleachers, for the experience and their budget too (we've been several times this season already). Our stadium is brand new and my husband always looks over at this rowdy bleacher section and thinks - now that looks like fun! So our daughter Laura remembered he said that. LOL! Hope we're not sitting with a group of college kids, he he (but maybe that would add to the fun!). They also gave him a new Reds polo shirt to wear. We have a special dinner planned later in the day - grilled lamb chops. His favorite. Again, hope the rain holds out but I'd stand there with an umbrella at the grill if need be.

Best gift my girls gave him though was a large size card made out of poster board, with glued pictures of them. From little days on. Poems, memories, stories all written down. Made me cry it was so touching!

Hope everyone's day is just as special! My dad is gone now but he was an avid Reds fan so I'll be thinking of my dad at the game today. And saying to myself - Happy Father's Day Dad!

This will be the third year since I lost my Father. I still miss him a bunch! Even though he was a Southern Baptist Minister he taught all us children to make our own decisions and to question limits placed on us by others. That led to some real interesting times at home Dad wasn't a real affectionate man but we could always count on his strong arms when we needed it. Besides the 4 of us kids, Mom and Dad opened our home to foster children. Over the years more than 33 children found their way into our home until they could be adopted. From the time we were out of diapers we were changing them. I guess that's why it just felt natural when I got married and had my first child! Even though I won't be able to hug him today, I know he's still there for me when I need him! Thanks Dad!

Marshall - your dad sounds like such a wonderful man! He's with you, of that I'm sure. It's been 15 years since my Dad passed away but I'd say for at least the first 5 years it was so hard. Thru out the year something would remind me of my Dad and I'd be sobbing. Father's Day was very hard but in time I focused on my husband's day with our kids. That has helped. And I did spend a few FD's with my father-in-law but now he lives in Florida full time. Just wanted to say I understand how you feel, in a way, my dad was very special to me too. Feel for those who just don't share those feelings. Dad's should be so important in your life. Your rock and anchor. Mine was!

Thanks to all the Fathers that helped make such a wonderful family here at S2K. Without them where would we be ?

((Hugs)) to both of you. I understand. Watch your kids today. You'll see your Dad!!!! I'm amazed at how much both my daughters remind me of my father. Look in the mirror too - you'll see your Dad. I'll be working outside today and I'm sure my Dad would have loved my gardens. So he'll probably be looking down, smiling and saying Good Job Karan! His presence will be there.

Happy Fathers Day! As you can tell, I didn't make it to the driving range, I *overslept* (0600) "LOL!" That's sleeping in for me! I'm heading out the door here in a sec before it gets too hot ( I know.......our 88° is pale in comparison to Steves 106-107°).

Very touching story Marshall....my father is still alive, oh how I wish I could give him a hug right now but...............

The single most frightening day of my adult life was when I opened my mouth to yell at my son and heard my father's voice come out! I had to sit down and have a drink!

Thanks all for the hugs! It was fitting that God called my Dad home during a Sunday evening choir practice. He was among friends doing what he loved to do!
