On a brighter note, two years ago today

#1 Postby weatherlover427 » Wed Jun 18, 2003 10:24 am

I moved into this apartment. Nothing too special you might say. Well for me it is; as I live in a supported living program. That means that I receive services which are tailored to my needs, such as helping me with my finances, setting up my doctor's appointments (which I can now do on my own, as well as I can now take myself to my own doctor's appointments); I have staff here about 16 hours a day in case I need them; and I also get help in areas like my medications, finding a job, etc.

I have come a long way since I moved here on that Monday in June of 2001. That day also marked the beginning of the tenure of employment of one of my favorite staff of this company; and today is also the birthday of her b/f. :D I have done some dumb things since I moved in here, like flood my attic (to insinuate a roof leak), take the screw out of the sprinkler manifold to flood the front yard, I cut the drain pipe in the kitchen, and things like that. But now I have improved off of those types of behaviors; and if I ever feel angry or upset I blast Christian music loudly.

I have a lot of people to thank for helping me get to this point. I doubt you'd know many of them except for the wxbuds who I will list, but this is a generic post that will be posted elsewhere so forgive me. I would like to thank: My mom, my mom again, my dad (even though he has passed on, his memory still resides within me), my family in Florida, my family in California, my aunt Judy, my aunt Donna, my aunt Carol, my grandpa, his wife, my cousin Chantal, her fiance, my uncle Gary, his wife and their kids, my uncle Kip, his wife and their kids, my uncle Cole, his wife and their kids, the pastor from my church, God :D , the staff at my supported living program (all of them :) ), my family friend Jerry, my family friends Don and Loretta, all of my neighbors, my ex-coworkers from the library, my high school friends, and for fellow WxBuds I would like to thank Marshall, Chad, Dennis, all Steve's, both Shannon's, Tom, David, Harry, Aaron from WxChat, Carol from WxChat, Mike (hurricanedude), Ed, Karan, Jackie, Dakota :D (bless his heart), Kevin from WxChat, Mike (SF), and if I left any WxBuds out I do apologize because this is one mega list.

HERE'S TO ANOTHER YEAR!!! :D :D :D

Wow, that is a positive note. Josh, I didn't realize that there are things you are dealing with. It sounds like you are managing nicely. If you ever need to talk, I'm here buddy.

Joshua, I appreciate you considering me helping you get to the point you're at. I am not sure what I have specifically have done. I wish you luck on all your endeavors. You know I can relate to some of your issues.
