Thank you for identifying this shape for me LOL - I kept looking at it, trying to see something besides an odd shaped pool.

Is this a joke? Cause I've been trying to find it for half and hour. Please don't laugh at me if the first image was created by Photoshop and there is no such thing.

If there is this Texas-shaped swimming pool, give me a hint please!

Quick thoughts... No surprise about a shaped pool. Some folks have the whimsy and the cash to do such things - must be nice! I saw this show about this artist who paints realistic murals inside the pools - amazing stuff - wish I had a link for you. Oh, and speaking about money, how about some of those rappers? I saw one show about the "bling-dentistry" scene, and they said this one rapper had like 50 thousand in diamonds and platinum in his dental work! :D Talk about the smile that pays (at least for the dentists' new BMW).

Hey, about those satellite photos. I've checked out the Microsoft Terra Server (years ago), and now Googles' whatchamacallit - map thingy. Looks like the photos are a couple of years old at least, judging by some road work in our area. Still, if we are "allowed" to view these images, I can only wonder at the image quality of the current (and highly 8-) ) military stuff.

I also wonder if they've gotten beyond just the visible/infrared/etc stuff, and maybe have a penetrating capacity - looking through roofs and such. We've seen the body scanners that airports are experimenting with (these have to be dialed down to not reveal skin details underneath clothing). I believe that the current legal position is that such "scans" are non-invasive and thus immune to any right to privacy, etc.

I saw a spider do it's "business" from the comfort of my kitchen window. I can't quite tell if it was a #1 or #2, but it was little drops of liquid.

For those that want proof that it's not Photoshopped. Google Earth for Richmond, TX. Go north to 29º37'13.35" and 95º46'19.96" :-) It's real :-)
