Interesting suit, of course, but TWC has retained a number of minority and "older" women over the last few years...making it a more difficult case to pursue.

Plus, there have been both young'en's and males who trailed off in the sunset with more sunset and less trail.

It would be hard to argue that "presentation" is not an important part of their business. And "presentation" can mean a whole lot of different things.

I often wonder if perhaps Alexandra Steele doesn't just make some of the younger ones stick their finger down their throat at times. Just my observation, of course.

I liked Marny. I liked Melissa. I even liked Lisa Moser.

Will be interesting to watch how this plays out, but after that list, most of you dismiss my opinion as over the top anyway.

Funny. today, I noticed several of the female OCM's with new hair styles. Heather Tesch looked positively made over. She (ahem) lost that dowdy, matronly look, and appears years younger. I wonder if the women there feel like sheep.

Dyed Blond Sheep with obvious dark roots, IMO....drives me nuts!

It will be interesting, though, to see how this plays out!

From what I recall, the longest-running female OCM's left are Cheryl Lemke, Sharon Resultan, Kristina Abernathy and Kim Perez (she served off-camera for years before becoming an OCM)...unless Jeanetta Jones is still there (haven't seen her in months).

All of the other female personalities date from 2000-to-present.

Only a weird percentage of the population turn to the weather channel for purposes other than informational (entertainment), and they're all on this board. Some people watch storm stories, but it is possible for a business to have entertainment as part but not all of its business.

I'm guessing the weather channel will win. Personally I think the weather channel sucks, mostly because they load it full of commercials. And they can get away with that because the majority of their viewers are there to get the weather (informational) and deal with it.

While the "riveting moments" on TWC are not nearly so frequent for me any more, I once bought a house because it was cable ready specifically for that channel.

The next house after that I purchased because I had 75' clearance in all directions from my house, my neighbor's house, the nearest seedling of a tree, to the point where I would construct my weather instrument shelter and secure the rain gauge. I could both watch The Weather Channel and then run out in my boots (and occasionally other clothes too) and check my rain gauge.

My wife and I moved to Arizona because she said she wanted to go someplace where she couldn't get sucked up into an F4 tornado again.

Nothing wierd about me, my family, or my lingering connection to TWC.

Speaking for the male half of the Forums...I wonder how many of us tuned into "Weekend WOW", just to see Melissa Barrington's newest postage-stamp miniskirt. Be honest!
