This is such a funny poll.
Well I have to say I woke up on the wrong side, but
fell much better now. I got up and away from the puter and
cleaned my whole house. Now I am in a wonderful mood!!

My grandson always gets up on the wrong side of the bed. His attiudes is the pits when he has to get dressed and get ready for school. The less time he has before being late, the slower he gets.

I get up at 6:00am every school day, since I am a school crossing guard. I very rarely get up on the wrong side but my day can ruined very swiftly if grandson starts giving me his atitude. For a 5 year old, there are times I would love to strangle him. A know it all at the age of 5 is not going to make it with me since he knows absolutely nothing about what I am trying to enlighten him on.

I'm up at 0300 in the MORNINGS now due to my class schedule for my bachelors degree

and I "NEVER" get up on the wrong side of the bed, I "LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOVE" getting up that early, the wifes asleep, the dogs are asleep (like normal people LOL!). So to answer the question, NO!

I have to agree on the early morning rise. The first hour I have to myself before all the kids and dogs are up, and my husband already gone. I can just chill and think about my day with no interuptions. But soon as 7:15 rolls around, it's on.I think most kids are the same when they get up mine are all easily annoyed as well. Istead of one five year old, try two 7 year olds and a 3 year old. They can make the peaceful morning not so peacful real quick like. Fights break out quick in the morning hours. So even though I can wake up on the right side of the bed to begin with sometimes they can through me out of wack real quick like. But don't get me wrong I love, love, love my little rug rats. And couldn't imagine my mornings without them, even if they get up on the wrong side of the bed 90% of the time.

This morning I was woken up in my pirate ship to the buzzing of a most annoying contrivance of modern civilization so I picked it up and flung it against the wall of my ship, and then took the 'Big Old Book of Pirating' and dropped it on the annoyance several dozen times. The book is very large as pirating is a complicated and exact science. Fully satisfied with the threat being eliminated I crawled back into bed.

My 12 year old son has been like that since kindergarden - I really have to control myself not to lose it with him (and I don't always succeed!)

I always get up on the right side of the bed, although it's really the left side of the bed. The right side is the wrong side. If I get up on the wrong side (the right side), I would have to climb over my wife, who sleeps on the right side. That is also the right side for her. If I were to climb over her, it would wake her up, which would definitely make her get up on the wrong side of the bed, even though its the right side. If she gets up on the wrong side of the bed, then I'd spend the next night on the couch. Since the couch is against the wall, there is only one way to get out of it, which happens to be the right side. Unless of course I sleep facing away from the TV, in which case I'd have to get out of the left side, which would still be right, because it's the only way to get out of it.
OK?

LOL @ Ed.....so I take it, it's not so uncommon for spouses to have a specific side of the bed? he he
I've always had the side that has a clear runway to the bathroom! OR so I could get to those crying babies.......b/c daddy needed sleep, b/c he had to work the next day. Mommy could nap when the baby napped.
Funny, but there are no babies in this house anymore.....but I still need that bathroom occasionally.....LOL
Mary
PS - we do this on vacation too, "Mary, you take that side..."! Honest.
