I don't know enough about her... I'm not going to criticize her til I know where she stands on the issues.

Will she vote to protect individual freedom or will she vote to restrict individual freedom? Will she respect the 9th amendment to the Constitution? The answer to these questions decide for me whether she belongs on the courts at any level.

From what I ahave heard about her,NO . Shes to secretive about herself.People from her home town, and the Dallas newspaper who wants interviewed her say she refused to give any info about herself. That gives me the creeps.

Miers is a toss-up...not enough known to make a fair opinion, one way or the other.

Well if she doesn't give details at her confirmation hearings, she's not gonna be confirmed IMHO.

It doesn't have to be. The mods are watching it closely.

Cast my vote. I think there's a conflict of interests, in the event that a case is brought before the court where she might have to judge the constitutionality of presidential actions.

She's a "fly under the radar" appointee. No one knows much about her, and since she has not been a Federal Judge (or any judge, for that matter), she has no established public track record. I think the Conservatives think she isn't conservative enough, and the Liberals think she isn't liberal enough. Thus, she's an unknown quantity.

Exactly. We don't know where she stands so no one can say she would support their side.
