I hadn't seen any other non-reality or non-news shows touch on the subject of Katrina yet, so I thought this was noteworthy. Of course, there have been plenty of news magazine shows covering the aftermath as well as Amy Grant's reality show "Three Wishes" helping Katrina survivors.

Reba

Series/Comedy, 30 Mins
No Good Deed - October 14, 2005
When Reba (Reba McEntire) and Jake (Mitch Holleman) take in a stray dog that survived Hurricane Katrina, Van (Steve Howey) and Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia) invite the owners to stay at the house until they can get back on their feet. However, the Harts are in for a big surprise when it turns out there are 18 people in the displaced family. Meanwhile, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman) heads up the "Save the Dog" campaign and turns her house into a shelter for lost pets, leaving dog-hating Brock (Christopher Rich) more than annoyed.

I've watched it just a handful of times. But I know it takes place in Texas. I caught a preview a little while ago when I was on my lunch break.

A lot of shows so far were filmed before Katrina(I know DH is taped 6-8 weeks in advance), so you may see more of these plots coming up.

Interesting...

Yup, she was Harriett Winslow, a character first introduced on "Perfect Strangers."

Yes, she was an elevator operator for a Chicago newspaper company where "Cousin" Larry Appleton (Mark-Linn Baker) was employed...and later on Family Matters...Baker starred in at least one episode as Harriet's boss with a real attitude!

Obviously, "Commander-In-Chief," right?

I've noticed all the episode titles so far begin with "First..." kind of like how almost all Friends eps were "The One With The..."

There was the first one (the pilot...okay, so that doesn't count ), "First Strike," "First Dance," "First...Do No Harm," and "First Disaster."
